Pat Kummer has written more than 60 children‘s nonfiction books on a variety of topics. Many of her books have been about the states, other countries, natural wonders, and inventions. She also wrote Athletic Trainer in the Cool Careers series. Ms. Kummer likes researching and writing nonfiction because truth is stranger than fiction! Besides writing, she teaches adults about writing nonfiction for children, and she visits schools where she enjoys talking to children about the writing process. When she is not working, Ms. Kummer likes to read and to travel.
