Tracy Nishimura Bishop is a fourth-generation Japanese American. She spent her elementary school years on a US Army base in Japan and discovered her love of drawing through manga and anime. Tracy studied illustration and animation at San José State University and has illustrated many picture and chapter books. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
