  • DescriptionFor more than 100 years, Black filmmakers have made incredible contributions to American cinema and culture. These groundbreakers created thought-provoking stories about the experiences of Black people and changed film forever. This six-book series examines their lives and innovative work.

    Ossining Village Historian, Joyce Cole, will interview Ossining resident and children’s book author Joyce Markovics and NYU film professor and filmmaker, Alrick Brown. They will be discussing their “Groundbreakers: Black Movie Makers” Children’s Book Series.
