Monday

Poor Monday. Everyone knows he's the worst. Every other day of the week has something wonderful about them, even if Tuesday's best quality is that she's NOT Monday. So Monday tries his best to get people to like him, but Monday is just not cut out for Sunday's naps or Thursday's frantic energy. Finally, he decides to just not show up at all. But when the other days start looking more and more like Monday himself, Monday realizes that everyone has a job to do in a week.

Author: Lucy Branam

Lucy Branam is a young writer who hopes that as she ages, her bio will get longer and more interesting. For now, she lives and reads in Jacksboro, Tennessee. She graduated from the University of Tennessee and earned a communication graphics technology degree from Pellissippi State in 2017 to chase her dream of graphic designing. This is her debut children’s picture book.

Illustrator: Kevin M. Barry

Kevin M. Barry was eight years old when he found a monster living in his house. It was a slimy, grimy beast that lurked in a dark corner of the basement. When light shone on it, the monster looked suspiciously like an oil tank. TERRIFYING! When not designing fearsome fiends for picture books, Kevin is usually painting from nature or imparting the secrets of eerie art to the students of Pine Hill Elementary. Follow Kevin on Instagram @KevinBarryArt, and check out his other Sleeping Bear Press books, including Ghost Cat; Kindergarrrten Bus; and Bobby Babinski’s Bathtub.
