Julie Buchholtz or Ishpiming Migizi Kwe (High Flying Eagle Woman) calls home in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She is a proud member of the Bay Mills Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Julie enjoys walking the shores of Lake Superior, her feet connecting with the earth and those who came before her. Mama’s Song is Julie’s second book and serves as a follow up to her inaugural book, Who Am I?.
Illustrator: Faryn Hughes
Faryn Hughes is a freelance illustrator who specializes in ethereal watercolor and digitals works inspired by nature and animal wildlife. She has illustrated book covers, over a dozen children's books, and various other projects in publishing. Faryn currently resides in St. Paul, Minnesota, and is rarely seen without a mug of tea and her two very fluffy cats.
