Now available for the first time as a series, the Peace of Mind Storybooks present engaging stories that guide children to understand brain science, big emotions, kindness, compassion, gratitude, the brain's negativity bias, mindful speaking, and more. These books teach children to notice and manage their emotions using mindfulness techniques, understand the related brain science, connect with peers and teachers, and apply their skills to face challenges with skill and compassion. By becoming more self-aware, students can experience greater success and well-being in school and in life. This series is a stand-alone tool for social-emotional development, but also serves to reinforce key themes in the Peace of Mind Curriculum at school and at home. The Peace of Mind Program was founded and developed by author and educator Linda Ryden. It integrates mindfulness, brain science, social and emotional learning, conflict resolution, and social justice into a weekly curriculum for students, schools, and districts.
